Like, the whole 'going mad from super-power granting ink' thing? That's done.

We still love the game (we got the PS4 platinum together in the first one), but it means we need to dedicate a pretty big chunk of time to our play sessions. It doesn't really lead into a sequel well. I think the DLC only has four levels, but each one has taken us around two hours since we keep messing up so much. Since my girlfriend and I are trying to simultaneously go for the "kill everyone" and "never be detected" medals on our first playthrough, this means a LOT of "crap, they saw me, we have to die" moments. However, the levels seem to go on FOREVER, especially if you're trying to do it perfectly. Also, in one of the levels, we discovered that we could revive each other infinitely by going through a certain type of doorway, but I'm not sure if that applies to every level or just that specific type of door.

It seems like in addition to just full area checkpoints, there seem to be a few invisible checkpoints that remember which enemies are dead, while not actually storing your physical progress. I've been playing the Nightfall DLC in co-op, and it's better and worse in some ways. I would have liked some extra "flavor" on the gameplay to keep it interesting for the whole story, but still, given is a low-budget game, is a good addition to any stealth fan's library. This say, the game is solid stealth, and, as you mention, the art is superb. I've mostly abandoned it after hitting the 9 hours mark, and even though I want to finish it (just to see the, I'm guessing unsurprising plot twist on the ending), my play sessions got shorter and shorter as I went through the levels. The game ends up being "yep, another level to go through" over and over again. My main problem with the game is that, once you've beaten the, say, first two levels, you've already seen everything the game has to offer (save skills upgrades, which are the usual "make the game easier" modern day skills) and from there is rinse and repeat on a (very) limited gameplay core that, even though is good enough, it gets old quite fast. This was for me "Poor man's Dishonored", regarding gameplay mechanics, and had some fun for the first hours, but ended up getting a bit bored after a while. As for your health, well you die with 1 hit so no health bars and yeah, you can't go Rambo since you have to use stealth to progress rather than head on fights.Īround 6 hours long and it is fun and amazing stealth game (loved it more than For Honor Dishonored or Mark of the Ninja) and it has multiplayer mode (didn't try it though) and a sequel was announced! Not only that but you can also know how many times you can use your abilities (which you unlock) through a sign on his back.

So you know how much time you can use your technique from the character's color (it changes from black to red). You use shadow technique to kill your enemies. You play as Aragami who is a spirit of vengeance (or something). What I loved the most is the main character's design. The story is very simple and cliche but I never actually cared for the story in a stealth game. The game play is fun and the further you advance the more skills you unlock. Sure the enemies all have the same design but the cartoonish style fits the game. It has been a long time since I played a fun and good stealth game and Aragami did that perfectly. I love supporting indie games and Aragmi took me by surprise.
